The city will review and approve its annual progress report on housing development for 2024, which tracks whether Petaluma is meeting its state-mandated housing goals.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to elect its leadership positions, including Chair, Vice Chair, and 2nd Vice Chair.
3Public HearingPlanning Commission Workshop – Staff presentation and Commissioner discussion about the roles and responsibilities of the Commission and an overview of the public planning process, including policy planning and development review planning. The workshop will also introduce The Planning Commissioner Handbook, a resource for Commissioners and the public developed and published by the Institute for Local Government. Planning Commissioners will participate in a workshop where staff explains the Commission's role, how the public planning process works, and introduces a handbook resource for Commissioners and residents.
