CITY OF PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA REGULAR MEETING OF THE AIRPORT COMMISSION City Hall Council Chamber 11 English Street Petaluma, CA 94952 MINUTES Thursday, November 07, 2024 CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL PRESENT: Jeff Domich, Anna Dietrich, Tom McGaw, Nancy Sasser, Karen Nau ABSENT: Marcus Margand, Collin Perry GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT During General Public Comment, the public is invited to make comments on items of public interest that are within the City Council’s subject matter jurisdiction and that are not listed on the current agenda. Public comments are limited up to three minutes per person. Depending on the number of persons wishing to address the Council, time will be allocated in equal shares totaling no more than twenty minutes, subject to the Council’s discretion (Cal. Gov’t. Code §54954.3(a), Petaluma City Council Rules, Policies and Procedures, III). PRESENTATIONS APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. 16.32 “Unlicensed Aircraft”, Pursuant to Federal Aviation Administration Order 5190.6B, and Chapter 16.32 “Violations and Penalties” Mark Ashton spoke on behalf of PAPA. Proposed revision was discussed. 16.04.040 – Based flight instructors. Flight instructor and tenant Mark Ashton spoke about the revision. Commissioners Domich, McGaw, Dietrich and Sasser responded to Mr. Ashton’s concerns. A revised version of Resolution 2024-01 was proposed by Manager Cohen for the January Airport Commission meeting. Commissioner Dietrich made a motion to create an ad hoc subcommittee with Commissioners McGaw, Dietrich and Domich. It was approved. COMMITTEE COMMENT 3. Council Update 4.
