CITY OF PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA REGULAR MEETING OF THE TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE City Hall Council Chamber 11 English Street Petaluma, CA 94952 MINUTES Wednesday, November 20, 2024 CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL PRESENT: Bill Cover, Eberle Ewing, Howard Formby, Taryn Obaid, Darren Racusen, Roger McErlane, Marianne Bertuccelli ABSENT: None GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT During General Public Comment, the public is invited to make comments on items of public interest that are within the City Council’s subject matter jurisdiction and that are not listed on the current agenda. Public comments are limited up to three minutes per person. Depending on the number of persons wishing to address the Council, time will be allocated in equal shares totaling no more than twenty minutes, subject to the Council’s discretion (Cal. Gov’t. Public Comment Opened P ublic Comment Closed APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3. Approval of Minutes for the meeting of October 16, 2024 Minutes were deemed approved. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION 4. Provide feedback to staff on the suitability of alternative street tree species to inform a ReLeaf sponsored replacement project to include planting of approximately 50 street trees. Heather Hines discussed her agenda item and requested feedback. Carolyn with ReLeaf added feedback and answered questions from the Committee. Committee Comment Racusen Formby Ewing Obaid McErlane Bertuccelli Chair stated the Street Tree Ad Hoc will work with ReLeaf on the second/ longer interim list, provide feedback, and we don’t need to vote on that today. Planning Design Ad Hoc Sub-Committee – Discussion and recommendation to add 3rd Ad Hoc Committee Member. Chair Racusen would like to nominate Committee Member Formby to be the third member on this AdHoc.
