CITY OF PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA REGULAR MEETING OF THE TRANSIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE City Hall Council Chamber 11 English Street Petaluma, CA 94952 MINUTES Tuesday, January 21, 2025 CALL TO ORDER Jared Hall called the meeting to order at 5:01 PM. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Abrams, Culross, Heal, Quint, Vazquez-Izaguirre, Tarr ABSENT: None GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT During General Public Comment, the public is invited to make comments on items of public interest that are within the City Council’s subject matter jurisdiction and that are not listed on the current agenda. Public comments are limited up to three minutes per person. Depending on the number of persons wishing to address the Council, time will be allocated in equal shares totaling no more than twenty minutes, subject to the Council’s discretion (Cal. Gov’t. Code §54954.3(a), Petaluma City Council Rules, Policies and Procedures, III). General Public Comment Opened General Public Comment Closed PRESENTATIONS 1. Blueprint for Climate Action – Transit Deborah Fox (City of Petaluma Climate Action Manager) presented on the Blueprint for Climate Action, including how it relates to the Transit Advisory Committee. Committee Questions: Committeemember Culross Committeemember Vazquez-Izaguirre 2. Petaluma Transit Bus Stop Inventory Database Presentation Carly Spencer presented on the City of Petaluma bus stop inventory with topics including how it’s tracked and how it’s updated.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3. Approval of Minutes for the meeting of November 19, 2024 Minutes approved as presented PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION 4. Appointment of Transit Advisory Committee Officers – Chair and Vice Chair Jared Hall provided an introduction of the item. Vice Chair Abrams asked the committee for nominations for Chair of TAC. Councilmember Quint asked if any of the committee is interested in self- nominating for Chair or objects to being nominated as Chair. Committeemember Tarr suggested the nomination Vice Chair Abrams for Chair. Councilmember Quint motioned to nominate Vice Chair Abrams for Chair, Committeemember Culross and Committeemember Vazquez-Izaguirre simultaneously seconded the motion. Vote: Carried 5-0-1 Yes: Culross, Heal, Quint, Vazquez-Izaguirre, Tarr No: None Abstain: Abrams Councilmember Quint motioned to nominate Committeemember Eric Vazquez-Izaguirre for Vice Chair, Committeemember Culross seconded the motion. Vote: Carried 6-0 Yes: Abrams, Culross, Heal, Quint, Vazquez-Izaguirre, Tarr No: None COMMITTEE COMMENT Vice Chair Vazquez-Izaguirre Committeemember Heal Chair Abrams Committeemember Tarr Councilmember Quint STAFF COMMENT 5. Transit Manager's Report Jared Hall introduced the new City of Petaluma Transit Senior Management Analyst Camille Sullivan. Maria Arce provided updates about LumaGo and future plans for gathering and incorporating customer feedback for changes with the service. Jared Hall provided updates on busses, improvements at the Transit yard, and future agenda items and asked Maria Arce to provide updates on a few specific topics. Maria Arce provided updates for the fixed route bus designs and community outreach. ADJOURNMENT Chair Abrams adjourned the meeting at 6:25 PM.
